“I recently came back from an outstanding backpacking trip in the Olympics.  Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. But this trip was particularly notable in that it was a great accomplishment for me.  It was by far the steepest hike I’ve ever been on– over a two mile stretch we gained 3000ft.  I worried about going on such a steep trip, especially since we would be carrying backpacks. I worried about whether I could keep up with the others, whether my legs would make it with the weight, and I was especially worried about my knees.  But the worrying was for not. I went up without the least trouble, and most importantly I made it down without any problems. My knees never once bothered me; I never felt my legs were going to give out no matter that it was so steep on the way down, you could barely stand up straight.  That is an accomplishment for someone in her fifties and I owe it all to Jaison.  When I first went to Jaison, I told him that hiking and skiing were the two things I loved to do and I wanted to always be able to do them.  He designed a workout program that addresses the muscle and movements I need to stay strong for those two activities. He also programmed corrective exercises to address some problems he happened to picked up on.  He instructed me on how to do the different exercises, made sure I maintained the right postures and positions, and explained how each exercise would help me (which is a motivator for me as once I know how an exercise helps me, I am more inclined to do it regularly).  It felt so good after I did that backpacking trip, because it meant that I can still do the hard stuff and get to extraordinary places.” – Dru Keenan
